Kalabagh to be constructed after provinces consensus

Presidential spokesman said the Kalabagh Dam will not be constructed until consensus is developed among all the provinces.

Presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar said the Kalabagh Dam will not be constructed until consensus is developed among all the provinces.


Babar said no projects will be started that are not acceptable to the people of Pakistan. He also added that Rs50 billion have been allocated for the Benazir Income Support Programme to aid the underprivileged.


Responding to a question on target killings in Karachi, Babar said all coalition partners in Sindh are working closely to identify the perpetrators.

samina | 13 years ago | Reply it will be a great blunder if we did not built the Dam soon we are fighting among ourselves. our country's interest should come first our people are not nationalist they only think in term of Sindhi, Baloch, Punjabi, Puktoon and Mahajirs only. the Americian say they are Americian not Califonian, the Indian say they are Indian but we say we our Punjabi Sindhi etc. The Atabad Crisis could have been avoided if we had a Dam built on Hunza river.
