Three young girls foil separate rape attempts on Thursday while a seven-year-old boy fell prey to sodomy at the hands of a neighborhood shop owner.

Police said the minor, a resident of Mansoorabad, was lured inside the residence located at the back of the shop by shopkeeper Ramzan where he raped the victim.

Reportedly, the boy had gone to the shop to buy some items. Police has arrested the suspect and is investigating the matter in detail.

Meanwhile, Talha Rafique aged 18 years, a resident of Rahim Garden Street No 7, allegedly tried to rape Ali Raza’s 8-year-old relative in Sitara Colony area of Samanabad.

Police said the girl started screaming to which the locals responded and hurried to the spot. They caught him red handed, tortured and then handed him over to the police.

In another incident, a man identified as Farooq tried to molest a 14-year-old teenage girl, a resident of Juranwala Road 280GB, which too was foiled when the teen screamed for help and he had to run away from the locale.

Similarly, the suspect Amjad Farooq tried to sexually assault a 10-year-old girl who scared him away by screaming for her. The minor is a resident of 107 GB.

Police have registered separate cases and are searching for the suspects in the aforesaid incidents.
