8 killed in Nowshera

NOWSHERA:

At least eight people, including two women and a child, were killed and 11 others were injured after a passenger bus plunged into a roadside ravine in Nowshera on Monday.

Nowshera Additional Deputy Commissioner Noor Wali Khan said that the accident took place on Kaka Sahib Road in the district on Monday.

Witnesses said that a van carrying around 20 people fell off the road after its driver lost control over the wheels of the vehicle while negotiating a sharp turn.

Following the incident, he said that locals, police and rescue teams rushed to the site.

They rescued the injured and shifted them, along with the bodies to the Qazi Hussain Ahmed Medical Complex.
