Ghulam Dastagir among five booked in missing land lease record case

GUJRANWALA:

A first information report (FIR) was registered against five people, including former PML-N federal minister Ghulam Dastaghir, over missing land lease records of a fuel station.

The FIR was registered by the anti-corruption establishment on the complaint of deputy commissioner of Gujranwala.

“It is pertinent to mention that the Petrol Pump / CNG and service station were demolished In the year-2018 due to non-extension of lease and the Tawan was required to be imposed for the period since the expiry of the lease of Petrol Pump / CNG by the Provincial Highways Department, Gujranwala but it could not be Imposed due to non-availability of record which caused pecuniary loss to the Government Exchequer," stated the complaint.

"The original record of lease and NOC regarding the Petrol pump / CNG has been misplaced/stolen with active connivance and malafide intentions of Government Officers / Officials and lease holder/beneficiaries. Therefore, it is required to initiate criminal proceedings against following delinquent Government Officers / Officials,” the complaint added.
