Army chief reassures of support to Kashmiris, their cause
Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa reiterated the Pakistan Army's utmost support and commitment to the Kashmir cause and the people of Kashmir on Thursday.
This was observed by him during a meeting held with Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider in Rawalpindi.
The two discussed matters of mutual interest, particularly the situation along the Line of Control and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K).
On November 4, Gen Bajwa said that Pakistan Army will continue to ensure protection and security of civilian population along the Line of Control (LoC) amid unprovoked aggression by the Indian troops.
He said this while visiting the headquarters of Rawalpindi Corps on Wednesday, according to a statement issued by military's media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The army chief was given a comprehensive briefing on prevalent situation along the de facto border and operational preparedness of the formations.
