WhatsApp is reportedly working on redesigning its storage management tool so users can easily find and delete files on their devices.
The new feature might be rolled out this week globally. To manage storage, select the ‘Settings’ option > Storage and data > Manage storage, reports The Verge.

At present WhatsApp storage usage tool sorts all chats by the amount of space they occupy by categorizing media into photos, GIFs, and videos in each chat, users can simply select any category and start deleting.
The new tool offers thumbnails of content to be deleted, and groups this data in categories including “Forwarded many times” and “Larger than 5 MB.”

This will make it easier for users to identify the content they no longer wish to have stored on their devices and can simply delete it.
Further, WhatsApp is reportedly adding voice and video calls on its web service and is also developing self-destructing messages, according to WABetaInfo.
