Brother of one of the victims accuses brothers-in-law of murder

The bodies of two persons have been recovered from a box in a house in Johar Town.

The deceased were identified as Shahzad and his driver Sher Khan. Police said the decomposed bodies were at least three to four days old.

Brother of the deceased Shahzad, Yaseen Nazir told police that a relative of them received a whatsapp call from his brother Shahzad’s number. The caller identified himself as a friend of his deceased brother, Azi and informed him that Shahzad and another unidentified man were murdered. The body had been lying at the first floor of a house.

Nazir alleged brothers of his deceased wife Samina Bibi of the murder. He said Safdar Hussain and Zafar Hussian had hurled death threats on him and his brother.

The motive described by him was that his wife had been murdered by unidentified suspects in August 2020 and her brothers had nominated him and his brother Shahzad in the murder case. They had demanded heavy amount in return for reconciliation.

A police team reached the spot on information and removed the body to morgue for autopsy. They also collected forensic pieces of evidence from the crime scene and recorded statements of the eye-witnesses.

Police said initial investigations suggested that the incident was a result of old enmity. However, further investigations would help ascertain the facts behind the murder and its motive.

They had registered a case on the complaint of Yaseen, brother of the deceased, Shahzad. SP Sadar Hafeezul Rehman Bugti said they will arrest the suspects involve in the case very soon.
