JEHLUM:

At least two people, including an expatriate and a woman, were killed in two separate incidents in Jhelum on Thursday.

The first incident was reported in the Gulpur village where a man shot his sister over a domestic dispute, killing her on the spot.

Police said that the victim was the mother of a 10-year-old child.

The Pindad police shifted the body to a local hospital for a post-mortem of the body. Later, after completing all medico-legal formalities, the body was handed over to the victim’s family.

The police have also registered a case to start searching for the suspect who had fled.

Separately, Raees Abbas, an expatriate who was spending his holidays at his house in Shahjahan Khewra neighbourhood, was killed in a traffic accident. He was riding his father’s motorbike when he was run over by a speeding truck, crushing him to death on the spot.
