The district administration of the federal capital on Wednesday declared as mandatory the use of facemasks in public areas of the city for two months while revising timings for shopping centres and parks.
A notifications issued by the Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICTA) Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqaat on Wednesday, wearing of facemasks in public places has been deemed mandatory under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).
In a separate notification, Shafqaat said that all markets, shopping malls, restaurants, marriage halls, cinemas and shops, except those selling essential items, must close by 10pm. All parks must shut down by 6pm.
