Government inaugurates ‘Covid-19 Heroes wall’

President said that country’s pandemic was brought under control and the international community was recognising it.

President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi and Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar inaugurated Coronavirus Heroes Wall at the Governor House Lahore to pay homage to those on the frontline against the pandemic.

Punjab Sardar Chief Minister Usman Bazdar, Punjab Minister for Information Fayyazul Hassan Chauhan and Punjab Minister Dr Akhtar Malik also participated in the event.

Speaking to the media after the ceremony, the President said that if the country’s pandemic was brought under control and the international community was recognising it. “The ongoing threat of the rebounding virus still exists and there was a need to implement the SOPs for prevention of the infection.”
