Subsidised dastarkhwan launched

The poor and needy people will be provided lunch and dinner at the subsidized rate of Rs20 per person

ABBOTABAD:

A subsidised dastarkhwan was launched in Abbottabad on Sunday where senior provincial government officials assured that they will take care of the poor people.

The “Gulzar Dastarkhawn” at Mandian in Abbottabad was inaugurated by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Assembly Speaker Mushtaq Ghani the other day.

He was accompanied by K-P Revenue Minister Qalandar Khan Lodhi, MNA Ali Khan Jadoon and MPA Momina Basit.

The poor and needy people will be provided lunch and dinner at the subsidized rate of Rs20 per person and was set up with the help of EarthLink Builders.

Ghani said that the incumbent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is taking care of the public through welfare programmes at the federal and provincial level where poor people are provided free meals and accommodation.

Basit added that the programme will be expanded to other parts of Abbottabad and then the division. The daily dastarkhwan will provide food to more than 200 people, she said.
