In a major development for the citizens of Hazara Division, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, Ayub Teaching Hospital has formally launched cancer treatment services.
This makes Ayub Teaching Hospital becomes the second MTI (Medical Teaching Institution) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to offer comprehensive cancer treatment. The facility, equipped to provide advanced oncology care, is expected to be officially inaugurated in the near future.
One of the key aspects of the initiative is the provision of life-saving cancer medications, many of which are prohibitively expensive free of charge, to patients who cannot afford them. This development expected to benefit not only residents of Hazara but also those travelling from Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
