RDA starts recording land transfers

Past practices to be suspended now

RAWALPINDI:

The Land Development and Estate Management (LD&EM) Directorate of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA)’s has started to record transfer cases of the authority’s properties. LD&EM Director Saima Younus said that the process had been started to avoid any financial loss to the exchequer. Younus said that given the government charges over property transfer cases over RDA’s properties and RIT-old schemes. The director added that the RDA director-general has directed to suspend past practices and that from now, statements in transfer cases will be recorded after the deposit of all government dues, such as transfer fee, stamp duty, late construction penalty or any other charges which were incurred during past transfers.
