ISLAMABAD:

Traders in the federal capital on Tuesday Islamabad expressed gratitude to the government for passing the Tenancy Amendments Bill in the National Assembly (NA) on Tuesday. Traders said that they hope the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) would not oppose the bill in the upper house. They expressed that the government had won their hearts with the move. Ajmal Baloch, the head of a body representing small traders in the federal capital, asserted that the law will help control inflation in the federal capital and regulate rent. He termed the previous enforced law as unjust and that the business community of the federal capital had been waiting for a balanced tenancy law for over two decades.
