13 die in 800 road accidents

552 people were seriously injured who were shifted to different hospitals

LAHORE:

At least 13 people were killed whereas 932 were injured in 800 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Out of this, 552 people were seriously injured who were shifted to different hospitals. Whereas, 380 minor injured victims were treated at the incident site. The majority, around 63 per cent, involved motorcycles. Furthermore, the analysis showed that 352 drivers, 30 underage drivers, 156 pedestrians, and 437 passengers were among the victims of these road traffic crashes. The statistics showed that 157 RTCs were reported in Lahore which affected 218 persons, placing the provincial capital at the top of the list, followed by 81 RTCs in Faisalabad with 88 victims and Multan at third with 54 RTCs and 57 victims. The details further reveal that 945 victims were affected by road crashes including 745 male and 200 female victims.
