CDA opens technical bids for Sector I-15/4

Financial bids of only those companies will be opened which qualify technically

The apex civic authority has started the process of opening and evaluating the technical bids which have been submitted for the development of Sector I-15/4.

Financial bids of only those countries will be opened which qualify in the technical phase.

A Capital Development Authority (CDA) spokesperson said that to develop sub-sector I-15/4, the authority had invited bids from companies registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in category C-3 or above through an advertisement published in national dailies.

In response to the advertisement, renowned firms submitted their technical and financial bids. Now, an evaluation committee has opened the technical bids to analyse them against qualification parameters. It will be followed by opening of the financial bids.

After completing surveys in the sub-sector, work on several roads and streets earth work is in progress while a survey on the roads and streets is also being carried out simultaneously.

Sector I-15 had been launched nearly two decades ago, particularly to accommodate people from the low-income strata.

Despite the allotment of plots, the sector had not been developed.

Restoration of street lights

CDA Chairman Aamir Ali Ahmad has directed the relevant officers to restore street lights, apart from the decoration of public places and parks, and to ensure cleanliness throughout the federal capital.

He issued these directions on Monday during a his to the Sector F-9 Park - where lights were recently revamped and restored. He also visited Sector I-8, I-9, I-10, G-9, G-10, G-11, F-10 and Kashmir Highway along with other places.

The chairman assured officers that they will be provided with the requisite funds, machinery, and manpower for work.

Ahmed said that the provision of a clean environment, street lights, clean parks and play grounds was their responsibility and that they were committed to take all possible steps for the welfare of the capital’s residents.
