Sindh sees 286 fresh Covid-19 cases

Of the newly reported cases, 200 were detected in Karachi alone

As many as 286 people were diagnosed with coronavirus from 8,182 samples tested overnight, stated Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Monday, adding that the newly reported cases had taken the virus tally to 142,134.

Moreover, he disclosed that two more Covid-19 patients succumbed to the virus, lifting the death toll to 2,583 in Sindh.

Shah added that 471 people recovered from the contagion overnight, with the number of recoveries now at 135,296.

On the other hand, he said, 4,255 patients were currently infected by the virus, of whom 4,014 were in home isolation, 236 were admitted in hospitals and five were quarantined at isolation centres.

Furthermore, the condition of 169 patients was said to be critical and 22 had already been shifted to ventilators.

According to Shah, of the fresh cases, 200 were reported in the provincial capital alone.
