
While the weather is expected to turn cloudy in the port city, Tharparkar, Badin and Umerkot are likely to receive rains with thunderstorms, stated the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Sunday.
According to the PMD, the low-pressure system in the northeastern Arabian Sea had transformed into a depression, which was currently located in the middle of the sea at a distance of 730 kilometres to the northwest of Karachi.
The Met Office added that the system would turn towards the west and northwest in the next phase, which would cause the downpours in the aforementioned districts of the province.
Meanwhile, fishermen have been advised to be careful during fishing expeditions in deep waters, as the sea may turn rough due to the depression.
The highest temperature in Karachi on Sunday was recorded at 37.5 degrees Celsius and the lowest at 28.5 degrees, with humidity levels between 27 to 30 per cent.
Winds blowing from the northwest at a speed of 20km per hour hit the city, while sea breezes were partially restored in the evening.
The highest temperature in the city on Monday (today) is expected to be around was expected to be around 36 to 38 degrees Celsius.
