Azerbaijan internship programme ends
A six-week internship programme at the Azerbaijan Embassy on the contemporary dynamics of Azerbaijan has concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony on Thursday.
The ceremony was held at the Islamabad Club and was dedicated to the 29th anniversary of the Restoration of Independence of Azerbaijan. The internship programme had commenced in early August and concluded on September 22.
Azerbaijan Ambassador Ali Alizada appreciated CGSS for organising the programme. He further stated that such programmes must continue in the future to equip the youth from both nations with first-hand knowledge of the partner country.
The envoy mentioned the ongoing Azerbaijan and Armenia conflict and extended his gratitude to Pakistan for their constant support in this regard. He added that thanks to the programme, the interns can easily analyse the recent attacks by Armenia against Azerbaijan.
University of Peshawar Area Study Centre Director a member CGSS Board of Experts, Prof Dr Shabbir Ahmed said the programme aimed to increase cordial ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
