As many as 674 development schemes have been completed with an estimated cost of Rs3.72 billion under various programmes in the division. This was stated by the Divisional Commissioner (DC) Ishrat Ali while presiding over a meeting on Wednesday.
He said 263 development schemes have been completed with a cost of Rs2.2 billion in Faisalabad, under the Community Development Programme in Phase I.
Ali stated this during a meeting to reviews the progress of implementation of ongoing schemes under various development programmes in the four districts of the division.
“Moreover, 287 schemes with a cost of Rs2.3 billion will be completed in phase II,” he said. The schemes were relating to the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), road, local government and public health engineering, as per the DC.
Besides, he continued that in the first phase of the Sustainable Development Goals programme, 411 schemes would be completed with funds of Rs1.9 billion and in the second phase, 531 schemes would be completed with a cost of Rs1.82 billion.
