9th national PES challenge concludes

Rescue 1122 team from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province stood first in the competition

The 9th National Rescue 1122 Challenge organised by the Punjab Emergency Service (PES) concluded on Saturday. Interior Minister Ijaz Shah was the chief guest in the event. As per details, the Rescue 1122 team from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province stood first in the competition while Rescue teams from Rawalpindi and Gujrat jointly secured second position in the competition. The ‘trauma challenge’ had been won by the Gujrat team while the firefighting challenge was won by KPK team. Moreover, Lahore’s Rescue 1122 team won the swimming competition. The scuba diving competition was also won by Rawalpindi’s Rescue 1122 team while the well rescue challenge was won by Bahawalpur’s Rescue team. In addition to this, the height rescue challenge was won by KPK’s team. The interior minister and PES Director General Rizwan Naseer appreciated the participating teams. “We congratulate the winning teams for their outstanding performances in the Rescue challenges.”
