Experimental food fusion is either a hit or a miss, there is no in-between. Combinations of food items that go viral, do so due to notoriety rather than popularity in most cases. More often than not, netizens end up being repulsed by the amalgamation of two dishes with polar opposite characteristics.
The latest dish that has caused a ruckus on social media is the re-imagining of chai paratha. An image of spiced chai (tea) ice cream served in a partha cone is now going viral.

“Chai paratha reimagined, spiced doodh patti ice cream with sugar-laced paratha,” wrote Twitter user Owais Siddiqui and shared two images of the dish.
Naturally, the post sparked a reaction on Twitter with many South Asians going on to slam the dish.
No. No. No. No. This is wrong. Totally totally wrong. You can't. Paratha and ice cream don't mix. No. Never. Kabhi nahin.

Even I have to state my displeasure. 😷
Siddiqui who posted the initial image defended his dish by explaining how the paratha bodes well with the icecream. " Ok hear me out, this is not a regular parhatta, it's cheeni wala (sugar one), the sugar melts and crisps up when cooled and shaped into a cone, I just wanted the waffle cone experience," he said.
Ok hear me out, this is not a regular parhatta, it's cheeni wala, the sugar melts on the tawa, and crisps up when cooled and shaped into a cone, i just wanted a the waffle cone experience. It's a desi ghee wala parhatta, i think you'd enjoy it

Surprisingly there were those that were not only curious about the dish but had a positive impression of the concept.
I want this so badly

Please post detailed instructions
I'd honestly try this. Cheeni ka paratha is a childhood favorite and I love ice cream. What's not to like here?

I think I want to try this to find out the taste! 🤔
