A paedophile rickshaw driver was caught red-handed molesting a minor girl by residents of Afshan Colony on Wednesday. the suspect was beaten and handed over to the police for legal action.
Race Course police officials said that the suspect, Abid Hussain, was a seasoned offender who enticed minor girls to sit in his rickshaw and molested them.
A resident of Afshan Colony told the police that his seven-year-old daughter was playing on the street along with other children. The suspect came there and enticed his seven-year daughter to sit in the rickshaw.
As the minor sat inside, the driver started molesting the victim on which she started yelling. Hearing this, the locals gathered around the rickshaw and caught Hussain.
Police officials said that the suspect had been involved in such heinous activities in the past too and many minor girls had become his victims in the same manner.
Police registered FIR against Hussain and impounded his rickshaw too.
