ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan National Council of the Arts Director General Dr Fouzia Saeed has filed a complaint with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) against Uxi Mufti the founding head of Lok Virsa for defaming her on the social media.

Mufti has claimed in his social media posts that Saeed stole video archives of Lok Virsa and embezzled US grants.

However, Saeed said in her statement to FIA that her work at Lok Virsa included digitisation and documentation of archives and revamping of the museum.

She said based on allegations put together by Sajid Munir, who has retired from media centre of Lok Virsa, the Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage conducted an inquiry into the issue. The inquiry concluded that nothing was missing from the archives.
