Fire erupts at apartment

A flat in a residential apartment building on University Road in Gulistan-e-Johar caught fire on Monday, burning furniture and other household goods to ashes. The blaze had erupted in the flat’s bedroom, upon which the residents sought help from the fire department. A fire tender arrived and extinguished the blaze. According to the fire department, the estimated loss and the cause behind the fire could not be ascertained immediately.
