CPDI calls for greater budget transparency

Citizens must claim their right to know and bring greater transparency, accountability and rule of law in the country, especially in subjects such as the federal budget.

This was stated by speakers at a ceremony to mark World Right to Know Day and to give out Right to Information Champions Awards 2020.

It was jointly organised by the CPDI, Coalition on RTI, Citizen Network on Budget Accountability (CNBA), Media Matters for Democracy.

CPDI’s Executive Director Mukhtar Ahmad said that citizens must claim their right to information. Status of budget transparency report was also launched.
