Govt colleges get gymnasiums

The colleges have voluntarily established the gyms within the premises to offer healthy activities to the children

ISLAMABAD:

The government has set up gymnasiums in six boys colleges of Islamabad. Gymnasiums are also being built in four girls educational institutions, said Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mehmood. “Healthy activities play a crucial role in the mental growth of the children,” Mehmood said adding initially, the Federal Directorate of Education has established gyms in six boys colleges. The gyms are also being built in four girls colleges in Islamabad. The gyms have been established in Model College H-9, Model College F-7/3, Islamabad College for Boys G-6/3, and Model College F-8/4. The establishment of the gyms is underway in Islamabad College for Girls F-6/2, Margalla College, Model School I-8/1, and Model College G-10, which will be equipped with treadmills, weight training equipment, and various exercise machines. The colleges have voluntarily established the gyms within the premises to offer healthy activities to the children.
