ANF arrests five suspects, seizes drugs

As much as 0.6 kilogrammes of heroin, 113kg of hashish and 7.7kg of opium was confiscated

As much as 0.6 kilogrammes of heroin, 113kg of hashish and 7.7kg of opium was confiscated while five suspects were arrested during separate operations by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Friday. According to an ANF spokesperson, the force’s teams raided a private courier company’s office and found a parcel containing 350g of heroin hidden in pieces of artificial jewellery, which were to be sent to England. In the meantime, ANF teams also found 250g of heroin at another private courier company. Moreover, two suspects were arrested while 23kg of hashish and 2.7kg of opium were seized from their possession during the checking of a suspicious car in Sukkur. Similarly, two other suspects were arrested and 90kg of hashish as well as 5kg of opium confiscated from their possession in a car on the National Highway. Separately, another suspect who had previously been booked was arrested.
