A second certificate course on "SARS-Covid-19" by COMSTECH concluded on Tuesday after educating participants on different fields of biological sciences.
The training had been arranged in collaboration with the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). Moreover, scientists and research scholars from Pakistan, Turkey, Cameroon, Nigeria, Iran, Indonesia, Sudan, Azerbaijan, Senegal and other countries participated in the course.
This training was organized to benefit scientists and research scholars from different fields of biological sciences including molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, and biotechnology. The basis and principles of serological testing, laboratory procedures, sample collection, storage and transportation of Covid-19 were taught in detail along with an update on the current state of diagnostics used for SARS-Covid-19 all over the world by Dr Ali Zohaib and NUST Faculty Dr Aneela Javed, School of Applied Biosciences’ Attaur Rehman.
