Woman among three allegedly raped

A fourth victim of sexual assault foils attempt after she screamed, leading nearby people to rescue her

FAISALABAD:

Three people including two minors were allegedly raped in Faisalabad on Sunday.

Police said that a married woman was kidnapped by the suspects identified as Naveed alias Dima and his accomplice Amir in Aminpur Road, 28GB. The suspects took the woman in the nearby fields where she was allegedly raped on gunpoint. Reportedly, the accused Naveed used to work as a servant for the victim’s household.

In a separate incident, the nine-year-old nephew of Riyaz Masih, was taken to the fields by the accused Shamoon and his two accomplices where they raped him in Chak No 263 RB.

In addition to this, Wasim’s 8-year-old nephew was taken by Ali to his place where the minor was raped in Sheikhupura Road, 72RB area.

Meanwhile, a man identified as Imran entered Saleem’s house at 240, Jaranwala Road, where he attempted to rape his wife. However, the attempt was foiled after the victim resisted and started screaming, which caught the attention of nearby people who came to rescue the victim.

Police registered cases against the accused and started searching for the alleged rapists.

Cases of gang rape and sexual violence against minors were rampant in the district.

On September 26, a woman and two minors were allegedly raped in separate incidents in the city. A 32-year-old married woman, a resident of Madina Town, 240 More, was alone at her residence when the Imran entered her house and raped her at gunpoint. Police arrested the accused and registered a case against him.

Separately, a man abducted a 16-year-old girl in Chak No 263, Rabb area. The victim went out to buy groceries when the suspect took her to his house where he sexually assaulted her.

Reportedly, the alleged rapist also took compromised pictures of the victim and blackmailed her to stay silent about the rape, otherwise the accused would upload he nude photos on a social media platform.

Dijkot police station registered a case and started raids to arrest him. Moreover, the 9-year-old son of Wasim was raped by 17-year-old Ahmed.

On September 25, two women as well as a minor boy were allegedly sexually assaulted in the district.

A resident of Johar Colony Baseline, Millat Town, registered a case that his paternal aunt was travelling to Faisalabad from Sahiwal.

When she reached near Faisalabad from Lari Adda in a rickshaw, she lost her way and was unable to find her nephew’s house.

Meanwhile, taking advantage of the situation, the accused Muzammil Hussain, Raja and others, abducted the victim and took her to one the suspects’ house where they raped her.

The alleged rapists also looted Rs50,000 cash and clothes from the victim and ‘sent her back’ to Sahiwal from Lari Adda. The victim informed her family after she reached Sahiwal.

Meanwhile, another woman was gang raped in her house in suburban village 73GB and an 11-year-old boy was called by the suspect Iftikhar to his farm from where he took the victim to a his place and raped him.

On June 7, the body of a seven-year-old boy was found by local residents and police claimed that the victim was abducted two days earlier from D-Type Colony and sexually assaulted.

The body was reportedly thrown into a canal in Dijkot area.

On May 23, a teenage girl was gang-raped by five men after being abducted in Landianwala area.
