After his last outing at the cinemas with Glass in 2019, director M Night Shyamalan is already set to work on his next one, reported Variety.

The director took to Twitter on Saturday to share the title of the film, writing, "Feels like a miracle that I am standing here shooting the first shot of my new film. It’s called Old." He also attached a picture of himself wearing a face mask and holding a clapperboard.

The Split director also shared the first promotional poster of the film that features a close-up shot of an hourglass but with human bodies falling through it instead of sand. The caption reads, "A new trip from writer/director M Night Shyamalan. It’s only a matter of time."

While not much is yet known about the feature, Variety had earlier reported that there had already been signings for the cast members; these include Eliza Scanlen, Thomasin McKenzie, Aaron Pierre, Alex Wolff, Vicky Krieps, Abbey Lee, Nikki Amuka-Bird, and Ken Leung. Deadline also reported that Gael Garcia Bernal, Rufus Sewell, Embeth Davidtz, and Emun Elliott had signed on the mystery.

Old, which will be written and produced by Shyamalan in addition to him directing, is slated for a July 2021 release.
