Three policemen booked for negligence

A sub-inspector and assistant sub-inspector were booked for failure to help a victim of robbery

Three police officials were booked over negligence and poor performance in the provincial capital on Sunday. One official was booked and put behind bars on the orders of Lahore CCPO Umer Shoaib Sheikh. The CCPO reportedly called at police helpline 15 in the morning while pretending to be a complainant. Head Constable Bilal of Chowki Haloki rather than helping the citizen asked him to contact Kahna police station. Sheikh asked him to provide him numbers of Ring Road police and Kahna police station. Bilal rather than helping him out asked him to contact police helpline 15. On failure to help citizen and expressing indifference, Sheikh got registered a case for negligence in duty against him. Meanwhile, a sub-inspector and assistant sub-inspector were booked for failure to help a victim of robbery.
