An alleged paedophile wanted for assaulting a mentally-challenged teenager was arrested by the Rawalpindi police on Wednesday. The 14-year-old victim had gone to a dairy shop when the suspect, Ghulam Mustafa, lured him to his house and assaulted him, the boy’s father had told the Gujjar Khan police. When the boy did not return, the father said, he went out looking for him and finally found the child crying on a street. “My child told me that Ghulam Mustafa had taken him to his house and assaulted him,” the complainant said. Police had booked an FITR but the suspect had escaped. On Wednesday, Gujjar Khan police recived information that Ghulam Mustafa was in the vicinity and they arrested him. Police said that they would prepare a strong charge-sheet with concrete evidence to make sure that the suspect gets harsh punishment.
