KARACHI:

A woman, identified as Saima, was killed and her husband and children were injured in a road accident on the National Highway in Malir City in the wee hours of Tuesday.

According to an ambulance driver of Chhipa Welfare Association, the family was invited to a relative’s house in Malir Halt for dinner and was returning home, in Quaidabad, on a motorcycle when, around 3.00am, a dog suddenly came in their way. As a result, Saima’s husband, Salman, 45, lost balance of the motorcycle, fell and hit a foot path.

He and the couple’s two children, nine-year-old Maas and 12-year-old Romesa, sustained injuries as a result of the accident, while Saima died on the spot. The body and the injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
