RPO assures to uphold merit, justice

RPO directed the Jhelum District Police Officer to probe the matter and file a report within four days

The newly-appointed Rawalpindi Regional Police Officer Imran Ahmar on Monday said that the supremacy of merit and justice will be ensured in all cases. He said this while addressing his maiden khulli kucheri in his office. During Monday’s session, Rafaqat Hussain appeared before the RPO and presented a petition over his land dispute. After reviewing the petition, RPO Ahmar directed the Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) Ahsan Younas to immediately launch an inquiry. Raja Khurshid presented his case for an inquiry over which the SSP-RIB was directed to conduct an inquiry and to file a report within 10 days. Sarfraz Khan from Attock requested for changing the investigator in his case over which RPO Ahmar directed the SSP-RIB to immediately take action. Jhelum resident Ghazala Shaheen appeared before the RPO and asked him to inquire into a case registered against her. At this, the RPO directed the Jhelum District Police Officer to probe the matter and file a report within four days.
