Govt okays gas facilities for Attock

The government has allocated Rs848.56 million for gas projects

The government has approved the provision of gas facilities to the residents of some 25 Attock villages and adjoining localities. This was disclosed by the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam on Sunday while speaking to the media at his residence. “NA-56 has been neglected during the past regimes,” he said, adding, “The top leadership of different political parties used to exploit the basic rights of the people.” He added that the government’s priority is to provide basic amenities to the public at their doorsteps and the provision of gas to rural Attock was proof of their commitment. Providing details of the villages, he said the government has allocated Rs848.56 million for gas projects in NA-56 which will cover 12 villages in Tehsil Jand including Ziarat, Parriot, Kharriot, Bela, Bhandar Loharan, Bhandar Karamsher, Bhandar Toda, Bhandar Tahlian, Jaba, Thathi, Rangli and Uchri, three villages of Tehsil Pindigheb namely Surg, Maghian and Saidran. Similarly, it includes ten villages of Tehsil Fatehjang including Ghari Hassu Khan, Bhal Syedan, Burj, Kharala Khurd, Ajuwala, Chharat, Kharala Kalan, Ferozwali, Makial, Gulial and adjoining areas.
