MULTAN:

An exemplary cleanliness system would be introduced for the people of the city, said Multan Commissioner Javed Akhtar Mahmood. He directed the Multan Waste Management Company (MWMC) to introduce the latest model of cleanliness after selecting union councils for the purpose.

He also ordered the MWMC to overcome the shortage of machinery and manpower. The commissioner expressed these views while presiding over an MWMC meeting on Saturday. He ordered the officials to strictly follow PPRA rules in the purchase of machinery and devise a revenue plan to make the company financially independent.

“Revenue can be earned on a large scale by utilising waste effectively,” said the commissioner.
