Sakina Samo's 'Intezaar' to premiere in New York

The film is headed to the Harlem International Film Festival

Sakina Samo has a big feather to add to her cap. The veteran actor's directorial debut is headed for an international premiere at the Harlem International Film Festival in New York.

The Mehndi actor took to Twitter to share the big news with her followers, writing, "Our Intezaar (Waiting) will have its world premiere at the Harlem International Film Festival in New York." She went on to attach a link to see which other films are being screened and how to watch online.

As told by its apt name, Intezaar revolves around the feeling and concept of 'waiting', and is written by renowned writer Bee Gul. The film is co-produced by Azeem Mughal and Sakina Samo and features Samina Ahmed, Khalid Ahmed, Kaif Ghaznavi, Raza Ali Abid, and Adnan Jaffar in starring roles.

Intezaar's was first teased earlier in February and was billed for a March release, however, was later stalled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Harlem International Film Festival is scheduled to take place from September 10 to September 13.
