RAWALPINDI:

Three people, including two minors, had to be rescued when the roof and a section of a wall of a mud house in Darkali near Dawltalah collapsed due to heavy rains. Locals said on Monday that the roof of the mud and bricks house could not bear the weight of the water collecting on it and suddenly caved in. It also caused a section of the wall to collapse, trapping three inhabitants. Locals pulled the three out of the debris. Locals said that the poor family has now become homeless while their belongings, including clothes, are no longer usable. The family were provided temporary shelter by other residents of the area.
