Ace filmmaker Christopher Nolan, who helmed the renowned The Dark Knight trilogy for Warner Bros, revealed how thrilled he was to hear about Pattinson being cast as the next Batman, reported The Indian Express.
"He certainly did not ask me for any advice. We kept a respectful silence around the issue until very near the end of the shoot," said Nolan, adding that the two merely exchange a couple of jokes and anecdotes about the situation while filming Tenet, Nolan's recent venture that stared Pattinson.
"We did have a little bit of a conversation about the various aspects of what he was going to be putting himself through. But I was thrilled that he was cast. I think that he’ll do an amazing job and I’m really excited to see what he does with that character," he added.
Nolan's take on the Batman in his The Dark Knight trilogy featured Christian Bale in the lead role as the Caped Crusader. The trilogy is still hailed as one of the best superhero franchises. On the other hand, Nolan's latest outing, Tenet, has also raked in rave reviews., scoring 81 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
