A man was shot dead while the other was left injured in an incident of firing in Shahdara on Friday night reportedly over old enmity.
Police said Zubair Malik alias Viki was at his shop on when Yasir approached. The two men exchanged harsh words with each other. Reportedly, Zubair was so frustrated that he resorted to firing. Yasir also retaliated and opened fire. Both suffered bullet injuries and fell down. They were shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced Yasir dead on arrival.
A police team removed the body to morgue for autopsy. They also collected forensic evidence from the crime scene and recorded statements of the eye-witnesses. Police said they were investigating the matter further.
