Police constable dies in road accident
Investigation underway
A constable died in a road accident on Ferozepur Road on Saturday.
The victim identified as Rehan Riaz was posted in Flying Squad in Qurban Lines. On Saturday, he was returning home on a motorcycle. When he reached near Shanghai Bridge, the victim met a fatal road traffic accident. He fell down, suffered injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
A police team reached the spot on information and shifted the body to a morgue for autopsy. They also collected forensic evidence from the crime scene and recorded statements of the witnesses.
