With further rains forecasted by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) in the coming days, health experts have warned of an increasing threat from dengue. In this regard, the district health authorities have directed to take urgent steps to tackle the situation.

A meeting in this regard was held by district authorities on Friday to review the anti-dengue arrangements in the region.

Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner Anwarul Haq chaired the meeting.

He directed officials to ensure that stagnant water is drained to stop mosquitoes from breeding.
