BJP MP alleges that Sushant Singh Rajput was poisoned

Subramanian Swamy has cited delay in the actor's autopsy as a clue

Indian Bharatiya Janata Party MP, Subramanian Swamy, has alleged that late actor Sushant Singh Rajput was poisoned and his autopsy tampered with, reported Times of India.

According to rumours, there was a 12-hour delay in Rajput’s autopsy, carried out at the Cooper Hospital in Mumbai. His post-mortem report also did not mention the time of death.

Swamy, who has been at the forefront of fighting to get to the bottom of the Kai Po Che actor’s mysterious death, took to Twitter on Tuesday to suggest that the delay was deliberate. “Now the diabolical mentality of the killers and their reach is being slowly revealed: autopsy was deliberately, forcibly delayed so that the poisons in SSR’s stomach dissolved beyond recognition by the digestive fluids in the stomach. Time to nail those who are responsible,” he tweeted.

Before this, the politician had earlier tweeted about Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty’s inadequacy in the investigation. She is the main accused in the case. “If Rhea Chakraborty keeps giving evidence which contradicts her conversation with Mahesh Bhatt then CBI will have no alternative but to arrest her and subject her to custodial interrogation to get to the truth,” he had said.

A CBI probe into the actor’s death was green-lit earlier and the investigation is currently underway with people close to Rajput having been called in for questioning already. According to reports, his friend Siddharth Pithani, and his house helps Dipesh Sawant and Neeraj have been questioned but their statements have been conflicting so far.
