The Rawalpindi City Traffic Police (CTP) impounded five pushcarts as it launched an anti-encroachment operation in different areas of the city on Sunday.
A CTP spokesperson said that operations were carried out on Saddar Road, Ganjmandi Road, Bara Market, and Imperial Market and five pushcarts were impounded. These pushcarts were established on the roadsides and were hindering the smooth flow of traffic.
Besides this, the traffic police issued tickets to 117 vehicles for parking in no-parking zones.
DSP Qureshi said that the action against encroachments will continue across the garrison city to maintain smooth traffic flow.
