Seminary teachers arrested

They assaulted minor girl for not learning lessons

KARACHI:

The police arrested two religious teachers for assaulting a minor girl for not learning lessons in Orangi Town on Saturday, after a video went viral on social media.

According to the police, they conducted two separate raids at religious seminaries and arrested the two religious teachers, Qari Fareed and Qari Syed. However, they added that the video circulated on social media was about 18 months old.

Police stated that Fareed, who had beaten a girl, was arrested from Zia Colony, while Syed, who had assaulted a boy on August 12, was arrested from another locality.
