MRI test timings extended at LGH

Citizens will not have to go to private clinics for an MRI test

For the first time in a government hospital, the PINS/LGH has started MRI tests from morning to midnight.

Principal Post-Graduate Medical Institute and Lahore General Hospital Prof Sardar Muhammad Al-Freed Zafar and Executive Director Punjab Institute of Neuro-Sciences Dr Khalid Mahmood have reportedly decided that the tests will be conducted from 8 am to midnight. In this regard, the duties of technicians and other staff have also been assigned who will serve in three shifts.

The implementation of the orders has been started immediately. The principal PGMI and ED PINS said the decision would benefit more patients undergoing MRI tests and timely diagnosis would address the delay in the treatment of these patients as well. They said all resources are being utilised to provide maximum facilities to the patients coming to the hospitals.

Citizens will not have to go to private clinics for an MRI test. They said that according to the government policy, the facility will be available free of cost to the government employees and needy patients. Then move will allow employees to come to the hospital after their office hours, they concluded.
