Two transformers catch fire in Lahore

No loss of life or injury was reported in the incidents

LAHORE:

Two incidents of fire in electric transformers were reported in the city in the early hours of Saturday. The first case was reported in Marhaba Tower, Karim Block. The second case was reported near Metropolitan Bank in Garden Town.

It started as a minor fire reportedly due to a short circuit. The nearby people called Rescue 1122 teams. Fire fighters of the emergency service reached the spot on information and extinguished the fire. No loss of life or injury was reported in the incidents.

Meanwhile, a cylinder explosion was reported in Kamahan Pind on Saturday. The fire suddenly broke out in a tea stall near Askari 11. It started as a minor fire but the cylinder exploded with a blast. Nearby people called Rescue 1122 teams. Fire fighters reached the spot on information and extinguished the fire. No loss of life or injury was reported in the incident.
