Quetta police vow full security during Muharram

QUETTA:

Additional IG Quetta police Abdul Razzaq Cheema on Thursday presided over a meeting regarding the security of Muharram and the Ashura procession.

SSP Operations, SSP Investigation, SP Headquarters, SPs, DSPs, SHOs and other police official were present in the meeting.

The meeting was informed that in order to ensure implementation of the Tenancy Act in connection with Muharram, complete data of residents of rented shops and houses from all property dealers is being collected.

Police, city administration, Frontier Corps and other law enforcement agencies will be on duty during Muharram and for securing procession routes. At the police station level, a system of checking and security at rented houses, hotels and exits and entrances of the city is already being worked on effectively in the area.
