An accountability court issued on Thursday notices to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor and the investigating officer (IO), while also ordering action against the fugitive former Logistics AIG, in a reference about embezzling police funds.
The court was hearing a petition seeking restraint, filed by former Sindh IGP Ghulam Haider Jamali and others accused of embezzling police funds. Jamali and others accused could not be charged and filed a petition seeking restraint.
The court issued notices to the NAB prosecutor and the IO, also ordering action against former Logistics AIG Kamran Rashid in the case.
Directing NAB officials to inform the court about action taken at the next hearing, the court adjourned the hearing until September 3.
